Australia takes out Pokemon Video Game North America Championships

The curtains have just closed on the Pokémon Video Game North America Championships, the last official tournament before the World Championships! Team Australia has managed to take the title in all three age divisions for the Video Game!

Alfredo really captures what being in the Australian community is all about in his post win interview below:

In the Juniors division, prodigy Nick K. overcame US player Phillip Barragan to take out his third International Championship!

In the Seniors division, Alfredo C. defeated US player Nathaniel Sitler to take out the title. It’s his first year in the Seniors division and already he’s making leaps and bounds!

In the Masters division, Christopher Kan managed to overcome 3 close games, paralysis and the threat of Rock Slide flinches to outlast US legend Paul Chua. He takes out the title in probably the most dramatic match ever seen on stream!

The Australian Pokémon community is tremendously proud of all our players, and especially our three winners. Their performances today shows the World how much we’ve grown in the lead-up to next month’s World Championships!
